Responsible for providing network infrastructure installation support for a government customer.

Program Manager for IT
[2007-2008] Doracon Contracting, Baltimore, Maryland

Coordinated physical aspects of network infrastructure installation with customer and contractors. Supervised subcontractors and performed quality control. Managed scheduling and budgeting requirements for multiple projects at Norfolk area naval bases and large-scale commercial projects in the DC area
Technical Account Manager
[2006-2007] Dell, Inc., Round Rock, Texas

Onsite Dell Representative to Montgomery College, Rockville, Maryland; served as single point of contact between customer and Dell. Provided support incident ownership and customer account management on a 24x7 basis, including resource coordination, customer management, dispute and technical account management resolution and communications at various levels. Coordinated efforts between various teams to provide smooth rollouts and transitions.

System Engineer, Pentagon Command and Communications Survivability (CCSP) Program
(2003–2005) EPS Technology Solutions, Columbia, Maryland

Conducted surveys and documented infrastructure, voice and network equipment installation, and physical connectivity using configuration management software (Planet IRM). Performed quality control surveys prior to scheduled transition of equipment to the government; physically reinstalled backbone cables and equipment when subcontractor performance was subpar to keep project on schedule.

System Engineer, Navy/Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI) Program
(2001-2003) EPS Technology Solutions, Columbia, Maryland

Conducted site surveys and coordinated equipment installation schedules for 10,000+ seats at eight naval bases in the Tidewater area of Virginia (Norfolk/Hampton Roads area). Scope ranged from large server farms to individual equipment closets. Supervised subcontractors and performed quality control. Served as liaison between NMCI Information Strike Force (ISF) and local Navy Facilities concerning use of government facilities for NMCI use. Coordinated physical aspects of network installation with program partners.  Assisted in production of Naval Facilities document directing standardized installation requirements Navy wide. In September 2001, supported emergency network installation for office relocation of approximately 1,000 Navy personnel affected by 9/11 attack on Pentagon.

System Engineer, Internal Revenue Service (IRS) PRIME Modernization Program
(2000-2001) Research, Analysis & Maintenance, Inc., McLean, Virginia

Conducted site surveys and installed network equipment at IRS Service Centers and Call Centers nationwide. Documented pre-existing infrastructure and equipment and prepared as-built and as-configured drawings of upgraded CTI network using configuration management software (Visionael). Other projects included network deployment and desktop operating system migration for large multi-location corporate/industrial customer.

Electronics Technician II/Network Installer
(1997-2000) Halifax Corporation, Alexandria, Virginia

Responsible for installation and testing of fiber optic and copper (CAT–5) networks; team supervisor. Prepared as-built and as-configured drawings for all aspects of multi-building campus installation operating in a classified environment.  Duties included installation of duct, raceway, conduit, network cabinets, patch panels; installation of multitube air blown fiber system; fiber, copper (CAT–5) and CATV (RG8/RG59) installation. Team leader for State Department cable installation at several remote overseas embassies [ Mauritania, Malawi, Uzbekistan, Zambia, Cambodia].

Computer Hardware and Software Instructor
(1991-1997) Wise Owl Computer Training Center, Edwardsville, Illinois

Company founder and co-owner. Provided business support services to the St. Louis metropolitan area. Services included desktop publishing and software training.  In February 1996, opened a computer lab and focused exclusively on providing software and hardware training to the local community.

Administrative Specialist

Duties included classified document security, budget, supply, travel, publications, and all facets of office management.  Additional duties included computer installation (hardware and software) and associated training. Assignments included ACE Mobile Force (NATO) in Heidelberg, Germany; Headquarters, 3rd Brigade, 3d Infantry Division in Aschaffenburg, Germany; and the US Transportation Command at Scott AFB, Illinois.

Education

Educational equivalent of 4½ years of college—accumulated 150 semester hours through college level proficiency examinations, correspondence courses and military experience.
